A journalist tags along with a ranger-soldier on a reporting mission into a cold case surrounding the crash of a military helicopter in the mountains of Ba Phnum, a sacred area in southeastern Cambodia. As the film follows the two characters along an overgrown, dense forest trail toward the crash site, an emerging fragmented timeline intersects with a shaman narrating an animistic ritual about ancient rainfalls.
